About the artist Dejan Ivanović – Wuper
Dejan Ivanović – Wuper. Born in 1993 in Novi Sad, lives and works in Inđija. Since 2007 he has been actively engaged in mural painting, continuously increasing the quality and level of his work, while forming his characteristic style. In the foreground are his works on wall surfaces, but since 2016 he pays as much attention to painting on canvas as to researching and improving painting techniques in general.
About the „Bananas“
„Bananas“ is a painting from the series of works “Childhood memories” from 2019, painted with oil paints on canvas. For me, childhood is the most beautiful time in my life, and so I started this series of works. After all, when we were growing up in the province, on the street, there were various activities, including petty theft. The picture shows a scene from that time – summer, night and us stealing bananas from the store.
